Rare. Gorgeous large shrub or small tree with fragrant white Camellia-like flowers late in summer. Orange-purple-red fall color. Incredible specimen. Deciduous. Native to Georgia; now extinct in the wild. Needs rich, acidic, moist soil with excellent drainage. Not drought tolerant. Can live 100+ years.
