Rhododendron catawbiense x unknown ‘English Roseum’
A beautiful, dense, evergreen shrub, with large, elegant trusses of showy rosy pink-purple flowers that stand out against the lustrous dark green foliage. Beautiful nestled under pines, massed, as hedges, or for use as an accent specimen. Needs acidic and moist, well-draining soil. Prefers morning sun, afternoon shade, and moist, well-draining soil.
'English Roseum' Rhododendron is a strong, reliable grower here in Western North Carolina. It is both quite heat and cold tolerant. Bred by Anthony Waterer in England and enjoyed by gardeners since 1958.
