String of Pearls, String of Beads Senecio rowleyanus syn. Curio rowleyanus Delicate creeping, succulent vines that spill over pots and hanging baskets. In the Asteraceae family, native to southwest Africa. Small, white, puffball flowers have a cinnamon fragrance. Prefer bright filtered light, medium to low humidity. Allow to almost completely dry out before watering. Keep above 40°F. Strands up to 1-2+’ long.
