Apple 'Cox Orange Pippin'
Malus 'Cox Orange Pippin'

Mid season bloomer. Pollinator required.
1825 English heirloom, with something of a cult following. In Apples of Uncommon Character, Rowan Jacobsen writes that biting into a Cox's is "like cherry-vanilla ice cream with lemon zest and rose petals. It was heavenly. What it was not was appley."
Note that Cox Orange Pippin can be sensitive to sulfur.Zones 5-7. Cold hardy to -20F.
