Azalea 'Karen'
Gable Hybrid

An extraordinary and stunning cultivar presenting multiple clusters of bright lavender-pink blooms on remarkably cold hardy and dense compact evergreen shrubs. Foliage becomes burgundy in fall. The compact size make these ideal for foundation plantings, they also look fantastic when massed.

Azaleas are happiest in acidic, moist, well-draining soil in partial shade or filtered light.

2'T x 3'W.

Zone 5-8. Cold hardy to -20F.

Karen is a hybrid developed from the species, R. kaempheri, native to volcanic slopes of northern Japan.
