A fantastic member of the “delicious yet ornamental” category, producing a deep wine red foliage in spring that eventually settles to a mottled green in summer and then alights in color again in fall turning fiery red. Sport of ‘Toto’, a classic, high-yielding, and delicious variety.

There is a lot of incorrect information on the internet regarding the chill hours of this plant. We contacted the breeder, Briggs Nursery, who helpfully informed us it requires at least 800 chill hours, which is ideal for here in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
