Rosa rugosa


Long valued for its vigor and toughness, including high salt tolerance. Edible pink to white flowers and large orange-red rose hips can be used in jams, jellies, and desserts. Native to East Asian beaches. Avoid heavy pruning. Drought tolerant once established. These roses will spread - good for difficult areas.


Disease resistant.

For the most abundant flowers, apply Espoma Rose tone monthly throughout the growing season - May through September here in Western NC.
