Pear - European - Red Anjou
Pyrus communis 'Red Anjou'


Fine textured pear with golden-white flesh that is mild, aromatic, and juicy. Skin is deep red and gets even brighter as it ripens. Best for fresh eating and winter keeping. Trees are highly productive and resilient. From 1950s Oregon, and is a natural bud mutation of a green Anjou pear.


Must be pollinated by another European pear. Good for pollinating other European pears.


Disease resistance: strong resistance to fireblight.

700-800 chill hours.
