Pinus (Leucodermis) Heldreichii ‘Satellite’ 3 Gal

Bosnian Pine - Satellite
Pinus leucodermis 'Satellit'

RARE. A columnar form with lovely dark green needles growing slower and narrower than the species. These long-lived trees are from mountainous parts of the Balkans, 3000-8200', and some of these plants are record-setters in Europe for their longevity. Adapted to harsh, dry, mountainous conditions, they are an excellent choice for when one needs durable and resilient conifers.

🌞Sunlight: these plants are best in full sun (6-8 hours of direct sunlight).

🏙️Tolerant of urban conditions.

30'T x 6'W - growing 6-12" per year, depending on growing conditions.

Zones 5-8, cold hardy down to -20F.

💚Plant Nerd: Bosnian Pines are resistant to sulphur dioxide, hydrogen fluoride, nitrogen dioxide and ozone pollution and can withstand wind, ice and heavy snow. Wow!
