This attractive compact shrub produces dense, glossy semi evergreen green foliage that takes on burgundy-bronze hues in winter; tidy, mounded habit and tiny fragrant white flowers with rose sepals make this shrub a welcome addition to smaller spaces in the garden. Rose Creek Abelia was bred by the University of Georgia.
Abelia x grandifolia is a hybrid from the 1880s of two different Chinese species, Abelia chinensis and Abelia uniflora.
