Compact, extremely dark green-needled form with an irregular pyramidal shape. New growth appears light green and stands out brilliantly against the older needles until it also darkens. Sets abundant male cones. Striking specimen, hedge, and bonsai. Evergreen. Species is native to Asia. An Iseli introduction.
