Pink Muhlygrass
Muhlenbergia capillaris
Simply spectacular! Fluffy, frothy pink seedheads look like a sea of pink mist in late summer to fall. WNC Native plants that are extremely well-behaved grasses. Most effective when massed, they are also striking in containers. They can also handle difficult, hot, and steep locations. Long lived, resilient, and extremely low maintenance.
These plants are best planted in spring and summer, so they have plenty of time to get established before winter.
No regular mowing needed! Cut back to 4" tall in early spring for best appearance.
