A McIntosh x Red Delicious cross that has great McIntosh flavor with the crispness of Red Delicious. Apples are dark red, juicy, firm, crunchy, and sweet. Amy Traverso in The Apple Lovers' Cookbook compares the flavor to "rosehip tea with honey." Best for fresh eating, sauces, and pies. Keeps well - apples can be good up to 6 months in proper cold storage. Spur-bearer.

Disease resistances: Resistant to cedar apple rust, some resistant to fire blight and powdery mildew.
