Often regarded as the finest of all English dessert and cider apples. Medium orange-red fruits. Aromatic flesh is fine-grained, crisp, and very juicy. Flavor is enhanced when fruit ripens off the tree, with hints of cherry & anise, becoming milder with age. Excellent keepers, for at least 3 months in proper storage.
Mid season bloomer. Pollinator required.
1825 English heirloom.
