Lovely native of the NE USA, where it is found in sedge meadows, marshes, along stream banks and more. Graceful sword-shaped foliage with blue-violet flowers. Perennial. Often planted to improve water quality. Can handle water up to 4” deep.

Tolerates being snacked on by deer.
