Rare heirloom from before 1804, that was popular here in the Blue Ridge mtns. Outstanding dessert and cider apple. Flesh is snappily crisp, fine grained, very sweet and aromatic with hints of nutmeg. Vigorous. Likely parent of Golden/Yellow Delicious. Zones 5-8.
Mid season bloomer with a long bloom time - good pollinator for other apples. Pollinator required.
Pre-1804 heirloom.
