Gardenia jasminoides 'Frostproof'

Wonderful flowering evergreen hedge or foundation plants with lustrous, dark green foliage and large, fragrant, white flowers that measure 2-3" wide. A more upright habit and more tolerant of direct sun exposure than other gardenias, with flower buds that resist late spring frosts. 

Place close to outdoor living areas or entryways to enjoy the fragrance.

Gardenias combine beautifully with Camellias, Azaleas, and Fuchsias.

Best in a protected location. 

Thrives in organically rich, acidic, well-drained soils. Handle with care when transplanting, as gardenia roots are happiest when left undisturbed. Mulch to help keep roots cool.
