A natural hybrid found in the mountains of Scotland during the Victorian era, this small, slow-growing, deciduous shrub boasts an erect habit and rounded, silvery gray leaves. As plants age, they develop a gnarly branch structure that lends character to the winter scene.
The compact willow adds color, texture and form to small spaces, troughs or containers. Excellent for bonsai.
Once established, tolerant of many challenges, including deer, drought, pollution, and salt.
Cold hardy to zone 4 (-30F).
