Flowering Cherry 'Okame'
Prunus campanulata x Prunus incisa

Delightful fluffy carmine-pink flowers bloom in clusters of two to five. Beautiful fall display when leaves turn yellow, orange, and red. A stunning specimen, incredible lining a driveway. One of the finest flowering cherries.

The 'Okame' flowering cherry originated in England, in 1940. It is the result of a cross between the Formosan cherry (P. campanulata) and the
Fuji Cherry (P. incisa).

The tree was named in honor of the traditional Japanese goddess of good fortune and mirth, and has been treasured ever since.

Zones 6-9.
