An exotic delicacy! Native to the Mediterranean region, while the flowers are beautiful, this plant is grown for the stems that have an artichoke-like flavor. They can be boiled, steamed, fried, braised, stewed, and brined. The dried flowers have been used as a rennet substitute in cheese making. 3-5’T x 3-5’W.
