Prunus persica ‘Madison’ (Ideal x Redhaven, Bred in Virginia, 1963)

Wonderful sweet and rich peachy flavor! Medium-large fruits with bright orange skin and red blush, with fine-textured juicy orange-yellow flesh. Freestone, excellent canner. Very productive.

Late blooming which is ideal for here in the mountains of Western North Carolina; blossoms have some frost tolerance. Moderate resistance to bacterial spot. Self-pollinating, but best yields when planted near another variety.

~850 Chill hours.
