'Pacific Fire' Vine Maple
Acer circinatum 'Pacific Fire'
Beautiful small trees light up the understory! Young branches turn brilliant red in autumn just in time to light the winter landscape on fire - making for a striking winter specimen. The color parade continues into spring as vibrant lime green foliage unfolds against scarlet stems to green in summer, that mellow to a soft peachy yellow orange in fall.
Acer circinatum is native to coastal regions of the PNW, USA.
Truly happiest in partial shade here in WNC (our conditions are harsher than the PNW), they can tolerate full sun if given ample moisture. North-facing slopes will be gentler than south-facing slopes.
12-18'T x 10-15'W.
Zones 5-9, cold hardy down to -20F.
