English Lavender - Munstead
Lavandula angustifolia 'Munstead'

Rugged yet beautiful compact evergreen shrub with mounding, aromatic, gray foliage and an abundance of fragrant, rich lavender-colored flower spikes. Commonly used for perfumes, sachets, and oils, but these delightful flowers are also edible and can be used for culinary purposes.

Gorgeous in perennial bordersherb gardensrock gardens, and mass plantings

From 1916 England. Named after Munstead Woods in Surrey, England, the home of renowned garden designer Gertrude Jekyll, who loved  these plants for their beauty and versatility. 

Full sun. Heat and drought tolerant once established. Lavender needs very well draining soil.
