Bio-tone is both an excellent organic fertilizer and it contains a huge amount of mycorrhizae. 

If you've ever heard of the underground "forest internet", then you've heard of mycorrhizae. They are beneficial fungi that grow INTO plant roots, once there they swap nutrients and sugars with plants. Mycorrhizae can form massive, underground networks, much MUCH larger than the root systems of plants! This is extremely beneficial to plants, and allow them to be healthier and more resilient by having access to things they need to not only survive but thrive. 

Mycorrhizae naturally occur in soil, especially in forest soils (and the Southern Appalachian used to be Old Growth Forests), but they are susceptible to damage by tilling and other undergound disruptions. Bio-tone can help replace these critical underground networks.

Use Bio-tone when planting - rubbed on the roots themselves - to get the full benefits of the mycorrhizae + fertilizer. One plants are planted, you can use Bio-tone to fertilize by side dressing plants during the growing season. The easiest method is to remove the mulch at the base of your plants, apply Bio-tone, put the mulch back on top, and thoroughly water it in.
