Fragrant Daphne, Winter Daphne - Aureo-Marginata
Daphne odora 'Aureo-Marginata'
RARE. This is one of those fabulous collector's plants, that gardeners are always searching for.
Incredible evergreen shrubs with wonderfully fragrant, pale-pink flowers that bloom for a VERY long time in winter (usually multiple weeks across Feb-Mar). Leathery green leaves are edged in yellow. These plants will appreciate rich, moist, well-draining soil, although Daphne odora isn't quite as fussy or picky as other kinds of Daphne, making these a good, low maintenance choice.
Plant these next to your front door, along your walkways, patios, and decks so you can enjoy the dreamy scent!
🦌Deer resistant: Daphne odora plants are highly deer resistant.
🌳Juglone resistant: These shrubs can be planted near Black Walnut trees.

💚Plant Nerd: Gardeners have been enthusiastically growing Daphne odora in the USA since 1790. They are native to East Asia.
