Mars Seedless Blue Grape
Vitis labrusca x V. vinifera 'Mars' (‘Island Belle’ x Ark. 1339)

A blue, seedless, slipskin grape with an excellent Concord-like flavor. Great for fresh eating, jams, jellies, juice, and wine. Vigorous, a consistent and heavy producer. Disease resistant to powdery mildew and black rot; moderate resistance to anthracnose, bunch rot, and angular leaf spot. Self-pollinating.

NCSU recommends this grape.

Mars is one of the prized grapes from the University of Arkansas grape breeding program, where they have bred grapes to be incredibly delicious, seedless, and to have naturally high resistances to multiple diseases. Mars is an excellent candidate for growing using organic methods. It was released in 1985.
