Masses of jubilant gold bell-shaped flowers on bare stems, from early to mid-spring on an upright form. Gorgeous massed, excellent flowering hedge and cut flower to use in arrangements. Rugged and low maintenance. Deciduous. Native to Asia and Europe.

💚Plant Nerd: These long classic garden plants are in the Oleacaea, or Olive family. Lynwood Gold is long beloved, and was originally discovered in the garden of Miss Adair of Cookstown, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Growing from a unique branch of 'Spectabilis', the flowers were growing in a better distribution pattern on the stem - a significant enough visual improvement that excited gardeners enough to begin propagating. It was introduced to the UK gardening world in 1935 and then on to worldwide fame.
