Crataegus viridis ‘Winter King’
Handsome and tough - selection of a WNC Native. White flowers in spring. Gold-red- purple fall foliage. Superior orange-red fruits persist into winter, feeding birds. Silver-gray bark peels off as it ages, revealing its orange inner bark. Ideal specimen or hedge. Host plant for butterflies, good disease resistance.
