Outstanding dessert apples that can also be used for baking and juicing. Fantastic and rich sweet-tart flavor with a hint of spice and melon. Extremely crisp medium-sized apples are an attractive crimson red. Good keeper, with fruits storing for 3+ months in proper cold storage.


Midseason bloomer. Pollinator required.

Disease resistances: Very resistant to scab, some resistance to cedar apple rust. 


Crimson Crisp was naturally bred by the highly-regarded PRI co-operative of Purdue, Rutgers, and Illinois universities. 1971
