RARE. Incredible dramatic architectural qualities - very dense, finely textured evergreen foliage naturally sculpted on spiraling branches. Amazingly tight columnar form - the central trunk grows crookedly upright with side branches spiraling outward and upward. Attractive bark. Slow growing - 2-4” per year. Species is native to Japan.

Ideal for entryway, patio, and courtyard containers. 

Grow in moist, well-drained soil in full sun.
