Actinidia arguta 'Male Hardy'
Covered with fragrant, bright white flowers in May, this attractive, vigorous, and easy-to-grow variety can pollinate up to 8 female plants, if centrally located. Male plants do not bear fruit. Requires sturdy trellis.
These perform best with careful siting here in WNC. Plant in a location protected from late frosts. North-facing slopes that stay more evenly cool or sheltered gardens are best.
Hardy zones 4b-9. 20-25’ tall, 12-20’ wide.
