Rosa rugosa ‘Alba’

Intensely fragrant, single, snow white blooms all summer. Large red-orange hips follow flowers in late summer. Stems are covered in prickles that deter unwelcome intruders, and can spread - good roses for difficult areas. Drought resistant once established. Species is native to Japan and East Asia. Bred in Australia in 1894, beloved by gardeners ever since.
