Milder flavor than other Alliums, some people find it more palatable raw than garlic. Bulbs are soft and scrumptious, incredible when baked. Stems are eaten raw in salads or cooked in stirfries, soups, and casseroles.

Plant in rich, fertile, well-draining soil. Can grow to 3’ tall. Space 8-12” apart. Biennial.
