Citrus - Citrumelo Hardy Grapefruit
Poncirus trifoliata x Citrus paradisi
RARE. Calling grapefruit lovers! Large, up to 4”, smooth-skinned fruits taste like a cross between a grapefruit and a lemon. Self-pollinating. Disease resistant. Can be used as a rootstock for other citrus.
Disease resistances: Very resistant to citrus virus, root rot, blight, and citrus nematode.
Will be happiest if indoors when temperatures drop below 50°F degrees, but hardy to zone 8b (around 15F or possibly lower). If you decide to bring these indoors, place them near a sunny, south-facing window or give them a bright supplemental light.
(Your plants work hard to provide you with fruit, they deserve a bright lamp!)
