Native to North America (Colorado), these unusual, dusky-green leaved vines resemble eucalyptus - especially when in bloom. As the season progresses, flower buds pop out like saucers. These rounded bracts look a lot like eucalyptus, but the fragrant flowers at the center feed native pollinators like hummingbirds! They turn into red berries in the fall. 

They bloom on old wood. In case you would like to prune, do so immediately after they flower.
