Bold white and light green bordered heart-shaped leaves provide a dramatic background for the cobalt blue, forget-me-not flowers. Brightens shady areas in borders or woodland settings. 'Silver Heart' has sturdy thick leaves, and is heat and humidity resistant once established. Use these to create a lovely, low maintenance perennial groundcover. 

Brunnera thrive in cool sites with humus-rich, moist, well-drained soils. Shelter from harsh sun exposures. Water deeply, regularly in first growing season to establish root system; once established, water regularly to maintain evenly moist soil. For a tidy appearance, remove old, faded foliage before new leaves emerge in spring.

Brunnera macrophylla are in the borage or forget-me-not family, and are native to the Caucasis mountains.
