Lovely Mediterranean evergreen shrub with an ancient history. Foliage is excellent in soups, stews, sauces. Dried berries can be used as a spice. Wood can be burnt for strong smoke flavoring. Famously used to make crowns and wreaths; used in soaps, massage therapy, and aromatherapy. 

Hardy to zone 8; can be container grown.
