Stunning!! These beautiful, striking Calatheas catch the eye with their light green foliage covered in gorgeous pattern similar to a peacock's tail. One of their interesting features is how much their leaves move - there are many timelapse videos that show them waving their leaves around all day! Note the position the leaves are in during the morning and then later in the day - they definitely move.

Native to Brazilian rainforests, where they evolved thin leaves and basked in the high humidity of the jungle. In order for your Peacock plant to thrive, you'll need to recreate those conditions as best as possible. They are usually happiest in a bathroom, in an enclosed terrarium or plant cabinet, or when given a humidifier.

These plants are also sensitive to fluoride in water, which can cause the leaves to brown. Rain water or distilled water is best.

Prefer low to medium indirect light. Happiest when kept at or above 65F.
